San Diego Office
Judith R. Lawton, President
In 1985, Judy founded TLC Staffing and has since watched it grow to three branches servicing five professional divisions. In addition to serving as President of TLC Staffing, Judy shares her employment expertise by serving on the San Diego Workforce Investment Board, as past Chair, and currently serves on the Workforce Advancement Committee, also as past Chair. She is active in numerous organizations, including Soroptimist International of San Diego, LEAD San Diego ('94), Women President's Organization and serves on the State and Local Boards of California Staffing Professionals.
Judy's many awards include, The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) "Certificate of Recognition", the San Diego Regional Conference for Women's, "Woman of Distinction", Soroptimist International of San Diego's "Woman of Accomplishment", was recognized as one of San Diego's 100 fastest growing companies in 2005, the recipient of "Women Who Mean Business" award in 2005 and was recognized as one of San Diego's top "50 Woman Owned Businesses" in 2005.
Shannon Erdell, Executive Vice President
Shannon has over 20 years of experience in the employment industry and is the author of Temporary Sanity, Managing Today's Flexible Workforce. She has lead high performing teams to implement staffing strategies and has consulted with large and small employers to develop staffing plans to support their company goals. With a focus on local and regional recruitment and employment trends, Shannon has contributed to many major business and employment publications and has spoken at both national and regional levels on the subject of contingent workforce management.
Prior to joining TLC Staffing, she served as Area Vice President for Thomas Staffing in Los Angeles and for Westaff in Denver, Colorado. Shannon is a member of both SHRM's national and San Diego Chapters and is Vice Chair of the San Diego Youth Council. When she is not in her favorite chair reading, her personal pursuits are hiking and biking and various volunteer activities.
Bob DeWinter, Chief Financial Officer
Bob has been the Chief Financial Officer of TLC Staffing since 1995. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bob is also an alumnus of Deloitte, an international accounting firm, as well as a 2001 graduate of Lead San Diego. Bob's passions include spending time with his wife and three grown sons, golf and the ever-eluding pursuit of a lower handicap.
Colleen Brunet, CAC, CSP, Senior Recruiter - Administrative Division
Colleen entered the staffing world shortly after obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from State University of New York. She joined TLC as an Administrative Staffing Consultant in 2003. Although she has held many different positions in the industry, she is most passionate about recruiting. Colleen particularly enjoys helping applicants with their careers and consulting with clients on the ideal candidates for their openings. Colleen's personal interests include running, yoga, and enjoying San Diego's sunshine.
Nauni Lee, Administrative Staffing Consultant
Prior to joining TLC, Nauni worked for four years in Arizona and San Diego placing employees in both direct-hire and temp-to-hire positions. Her placement expertise ranges from entry-level to executive. While her most recent experience has been in the insurance and legal staffing arenas, she is equally comfortable sourcing for administrative candidates in multiple industries and she has worked with small, medium and large companies. Nauni likes watching sporting events with her friends, spending time with her family, and enjoying all the benefits of the Southern California lifestyle.
Jaclyn Alvillar, Account Manager, Administrative Division
Since moving to San Diego five years ago, Jaclyn has been successfully building relationships with the city's top employers within the pharmaceutical, financial, retail, biotech, and hi-tech industries. Her specialty is recruitment and placement of high end administrative professionals. She places high importance on understanding the specific needs of clients to ensure the highest level of service and enjoys serving as a consultant to help attract and retain top talent. Jaclyn enjoys networking and is co-director of membership for National Human Resources Association. During her personal time you can find Jaclyn with good friends and family, having fun in the sun, or watching a good game over good food.
Shay Southworth, Account Manager
Shay Southworth has been with TLC Staffing for five years and has been in the staffing arena since 1995. She specializes in assessing and serving our clients' needs in the temporary, temporary-to-hire and full time recruitment of Finance and Accounting professionals. She has placed candidates in a wide variety of private and public entities. Before joining the staffing industry, Shay held several roles in the Accounting and Finance sectors for leading organizations in the Southern California. On the weekend, Shay can be found spending time with her family and friends enjoying camping and water sports.
Nancy Jacobsen, Senior Recruiter, Accounting & Finance Division
Nancy has over 11 years in the Staffing industry in the specialty field of Accounting and Finance. She has worked in the industry as both a Staffing Manager and as an Account Manager. She loves assisting individuals with their next great opportunity and helping companies find their next best employee. She is a graduate of San Diego State University, with a BS in Accounting. In her spare time, Nancy enjoys attending San Diego Charger games with her friends and family and playing scrabble and cribbage.
Nicole Manwarren, Recruiter, Accounting & Finance Division
Before joining TLC in June of 2007, Nicole worked as an Asset Recovery Coordinator for Target Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Nicole greatly enjoys social interaction and helping others with advancing their careers. She is happy to have left the bitter cold of Minnesota for sunny San Diego. When she is not working, Nicole enjoys going to the beach, cooking and enjoying the nightlife that San Diego has to offer.
Kim Giannone, Human Resources Staffing Specialist
After working for more than seven years as an HR Manager and a Corporate Recruiter, Kim has spent the past four years using her expertise in the staffing world. Since joining the TLC team in 2004, Kim has built her success on thoroughly understanding her clients' and candidates' needs while delivering the highest level of service throughout the placement process. Her passions include fashion, cooking, and enjoying time with her young daughter and husband.
Randy Williamson, Technical Division Manager
Randy brings 20 plus years of Staffing, Manufacturing, and High Tech Industry experience to the Technical Division of TLC Staffing. His previous positions include Technical Staffing Branch Manager, Regional Sales Manager (Software), Vice President of Operations (Industrial Packaging), and Vice President, Sales and Marketing (Telecom and Internet). Randy is a 2000 graduate of Leadership East County, and served the City of El Cajon as a Planning Commissioner. In his spare time Randy enjoys camping, cycling and competing in an occasional triathlon.
Evelyn Rodriguez, Technical Recruiter
Evelyn was hired as TLC's receptionist in 2004. Her strong work ethic and excellent people skills quickly propelled her to a position as Junior Technical Recruiter, specializing in technical and manufacturing positions. Evelyn loves the thrill of making the perfect match. She enjoys giving personal attention to candidates while providing professional assistance to meet the needs of clients. Evelyn values TLC's culture of truly caring about their employees and clients. She is currently working toward her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. When not at work or in school, Evelyn enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Corey Roseleip, Senior Technical Recruiter
After graduating from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1999, Corey moved to beautiful Southern California and has been doing Sales and Recruiting in the IT, Engineering, DoD, and Bio-Science arenas, joining TLC in 2007. The relationships he has established through delivering exceptional service to both candidates and employers has been a catalyst for his passion in the Staffing world. Corey understands that a job change is a life change, and takes great pride in playing an intricate role in this process. In his free time, Corey enjoys taking full advantage of the impeccable surroundings here in San Diego.
Justin Casido, Technical Recruiter
Before joining the TLC staff, Justin was a recruiter in the Bay Area specializing in direct hire placements for technical professionals. However, Justin could not stay away from sunny San Diego. In 2007, he moved back to San Diego and joined the TLC team. Since joining, Justin enjoys the company culture and their enthusiasm for staffing. Justin is passionate about helping people find their next career and helping companies find the next employee. Justin is a proud graduate of the University of California, San Diego and he also loves Bay Area sports teams including the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and San Jose Sharks.
Barb Nicks, Client Relations Manager
Barb Nicks joined TLC Staffing in 1996. Her staffing industry career began in 1976 in the technical staffing arena. During her tenure with TLC Staffing, Ms. Nick's role has evolved into the responsibilities of ensuring that all divisions of TLC Staffing are providing exemplary service to our clients, and to assisting with TLC Staffing's recruiting efforts through various networking and business groups. She is active in numerous associations including ECOPA, NCPA, SPA and Women in Business. Outside TLC, Barb's active lifestyle includes tennis and sailing.
Tricia Sykes, Marketing Manager
Tricia received her Bachelor's Degree from UC San Diego. She spent several years working within the hotel industry in both San Diego and San Francisco until joining the TLC team in 2000. Tricia loves the creative freedom, imagination, and innovation that her job allows. Tricia's other pursuits include sports therapy and nutrition, watching and participating in sports, reading, movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
Accounting Department
The accounting department is comprised of three veteran women. Rosa Cota has been in charge of payroll since 1996. Financial statement preparation and general ledger control has been managed by Rose McWilliams since 1996. Ruth Steele has been handling the accounts payable and cash receipts functions since 2000. The department works as a team and enjoys their work as evidenced by their loyalty to TLC Staffing.
Ontario Office
Sharon Russell, Ontario Branch Manager
Sharon has over 15 years of experience in the staffing industry and has been leading the TLC Staffing Ontario team since 1997. Sharon is able to quickly understand the needs of our clients and ensure that her team provides a variety of staffing solutions to help them enhance productivity and realization of their company goals. Sharon is very experienced in both contingent staffing and professional search including the recruitment of senior level financial professionals. She believes challenges are opportunities and is committed to excellence. Sharon loves to be with her husband enjoying the outdoors and boating.
Maggie Tanner, Recruiter
Maggie has been in the human resources and staffing industry for over 7 years in roles ranging from HR administrative assistant, staffing supervisor, staffing manager, business development manager and most recently as a recruiter for TLC Staffing. She enjoys great satisfaction from placing the right candidate in the right job at the right time. She graduated with honors from California State University, San Bernardino in 1998 with a Bachelor's of Administration.
Due to her "people person" personality she chose Human Resources as her concentration. Maggie's combination of customer service and sales experience has made her a valuable asset to TLC Staffing.
Liana Silva, Recruiter
Before joining TLC, Liana worked as a Director of Student Affairs for 7 years in the medical industry where she obtained her experience in recruiting and leadership. Liana is very passionate about helping people obtain their next careers and extends her passion out to her family and friends.
North County Office
Melissa Poulsen, Technical Recruiter
Melissa is a San Diego native and grew up in North County. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Business Administration, Melissa was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and moved to New Zealand where she completed a Masters Degree in International Relations. On completion of her studies, Melissa opted to stay in New Zealand and began her career as a Recruitment Consultant (accounting and technical) for one of the largest corporate staffing companies in Australasia. In 2006, she was recognized as one of the top contributors for all of Australasia. In 2007, Melissa decided to return home to continue her recruiting experience within accounting and finance, finding her way to TLC Staffing as a Technical Recruiter. Melissa is thrilled to be back in San Diego and enjoys living next to the beach in Carlsbad. Melissa is a member of the Rotary La Jolla New Generations Club, active within the community, loves to run, and enjoys the California sunshine.
