Since 1985, we have centered TLC Staffing around service that is unparalleled in the staffing industry. Treating employees with professionalism and respect is at the core of our service commitment. We want to ensure that your experience with us is positive and productive. For your assistance our policies and benefits are outlined below.

Substance Abuse
It is the policy of TLC Staffing to make every effort to provide its employees with a safe and clean work environment. Illicit sale, purchase, use or possession of drugs or alcohol by an employee while at a job site is prohibited. An employee who engages in such a practice will be subject to termination.

The taking of prescribed drugs under the direction of a physician is permitted only when taking such prescription drugs does not impair your performance or the safety of others.

TLC Staffing will conduct drug/alcohol testing under these circumstances:
  • Pre-placement (when required by client company)
  • Post accident
  • For cause / reasonable suspicion

Worker's Compensation
As an employee of TLC Staffing, you are entitled to Worker's Compensation Insurance to aid you in the event that you sustain a work related injury, disability, or illness.

The job site is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment. However, you are responsible for complying with safe work practices and personal protective equipment requirements for your job. You must also report any and all unsafe working conditions to TLC Staffing immediately.

The California Worker's Compensation law guarantees you three kinds of benefits.
  1. Medical treatment.
  2. Replacement of lost wages when applicable.
  3. Rehabilitation services if necessary.
Benefits are set by the California State Legislature. If you feel you have sustained a work related injury or have any questions, please contact our office. TLC Staffing has adopted a drug free workplace program, which includes drug/alcohol testing with the treatment of worker's compensation injuries. Employees testing positive for drugs or alcohol will be terminated.

Anti-Harassment Policy
TLC Staffing is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free from unlawful discrimination. In keeping with this commitment, TLC Staffing strictly prohibits all unlawful harassment, including sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is specifically prohibited as unlawful and against TLC Staffing policy. Any employee found to be responsible for sexual harassment is in violation of this policy and would be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Any employee who believes he or she has been unlawfully harassed by a co-worker or supervisor should promptly report the incident to TLC Staffing. We will promptly and thoroughly investigate all complaints of unlawful harassment and, based on that investigation, will recommend appropriate action.

No employee will suffer reprisal for reporting sexual harassment, or any other unlawful conduct, or for initiating or assisting in any investigation of unlawful harassment or discrimination.

Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
It is the policy of TLC Staffing to provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees. TLC Staffing does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, medical condition, handicap, veteran status, marital status, or sexual orientation. TLC Staffing also makes reasonable accommodations for handicapped and disabled veteran employees. This policy applies to all areas of employment including recruiting, hiring, training, promotion, compensation and benefit programs.

Unemployment Insurance
TLC Staffing complies with applicable laws in the handling of unemployment insurance benefits. The system of unemployment rules and regulations is extremely complex with over 50 volumes of law. Should you have any questions regarding unemployment insurance or eligibility, please contact the State of California Employment Development Department.

Job Assignments
TLC Staffing works with dynamic client companies and the list is constantly growing. Each individual company determines when a job assignment begins and ends. You are responsible for reporting to the job site on time and prepared. When you're called for an assignment, you'll be given a job description. If this assignment changes, call us immediately.

Overtime
TLC Staffing complies with all state and federal regulations concerning hourly pay rates and overtime. These laws require that an employee only be compensated for time worked. TLC Staffing and the client company must agree upon overtime hours before you begin to work.

Attendance
If it is necessary for you to be absent or tardy for any reason, you must notify TLC Staffing prior to your scheduled starting time. Unless otherwise arranged, your failure to report to work can result in your termination as a voluntary quit.

Call us to find out which days and times the cards must be handed or sent in. The workweek ends every Sunday. Please be sure to show a lunch break when working any shift over 6 hours.
